Following this tradition, TDCA Junior playoff games are scheduled for this weekend’s Saturday (August 31, 2013), Sunday (September 1) and Holiday Monday (September 2). Sunday also features the TDCA women’s league sem-finals and final. All playoff games are presently indicated as 20 overs per side.
The early Friday morning version of the playoff schedule indicates the women’s semi-finals will be played at 9.30am on Sunday, followed by the Final at 3pm in the afternoon (although it actually states 3am). The Under-19 semi-finals are due at Ross Lord Park on Saturday morning at 9.30am with the Under-19 Final on Sunday at 9.30am on the West pitch at Sunnybrook Park. The Under-17 semi-finals are due for Saturday afternoon (3pm) at Keele Reservoir followed by Sunday’s Final on the Sunnybrook Park West pitch at 3 pm.
On Monday’s Labour Day Holiday, the Sunnybrook Park East pitch is due to see the Under-15 Final at 9.30 am, followed by the Under-13 Final at 3pm. Playoff quarter and semi-final arrangements for the Under-13 and Under-15 competition are indicated on the TDCA facebook highlights on the home page of the TDCA website and on on TDCA facebook.
The presentations associated with the TDCA junior and women’s finals are due to take place at an event in October 2013. Those interested in attending any of these playoffs are advised to check the TDCA website and facebook for the latest information. The grounds for the Under-13 semi-finals, for example, had yet to be confirmed on the version used to provide this preview.
Best wishes to all participating in these games. The number of young players and teams involved in junior cricket has certainly increased, and it would be nice to see enhancements to the supporting presentation of these games, such as ensuring scoreboards are operated and perhaps a copy of the schedule with updates for results might appear at each ground so players, official and spectators are aware of the progress of matches during the holiday weekend.

TDCA Juniors and Womens Playoff Match-ups
The participating teams in the Toronto District Cricket Association playoffs have now been included in the latest version of the schedule on the TDCA Facebook page. The Under-13 and Under-15 playoffs involve the teams that placed second and third in a conference meeting in a quarter-final game. The respective winner of each quarter final advance to play the respective conference champion at the semi-final and the two winning semi-finalists meet in the championship game.
The playoffs at for the Under-17, Under-19 and Women championships involve semi-finals where the team that ended top of the division meeting the team that placed fourth, and the second plaeed team facing the third-placed team. The U17, U19 and Women’s regular season comprised a single division rather than having two conferences, hence the difference in playoff approach.

Your are advised to check the TDCA website /facebook entry for any changes in schedule or ground, as well as any updates on the teams progressing to the next stage of each playoff competition.

Saturday August 31, 2013 matches
Under-13 match-ups
Australasia U13 v Markham U13A (Sunnybrook Park West, Saturday at 3pm)
TCA U13A v UCA U13 (Sunnybrook Park East, Saturday at 3pm)
[Winners advance to Sunday semi-finals at Keele Reservoir.
