Chattergoon was caught behind for 19, and Limabada and Cheema did not trouble the scorers. At drinks, Canada still needed 146 to make Zimababwe bat again, with only 3 wickets remaining. Bhatti and Hamza Tariq took the total into three figures, but Bhatti was bowled by Maruma, then Masakadza took his fifth wicket as Osinde tried to hit out. With only one wicket left, Hamza Tariq  opened up; he had taken 65 balls to get to fifteen, but then hit four boundaries in the next three overs to make him top-scorer for the innings.
