The winners meet in the Junior Final on Wednesday (May 7). The quarter-finals of the Senior Boys Championship are scheduled for Tuesday (May 6) with the winners advancing to the semi-finals next Friday (May 9). The Senior Boys Final is scheduled for Wednesday May 14.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThe Junior Boys semi-finals see Southern section winner Glenforest (Won 8, Lost 0) plays Northern section runner-up Sandalwood (W 5,L 3) while Northern section winners North Park (W 6, L 2) play Southern section runners-up Port Credit (W 6, L 2).<\/p>\n<p>The Senior Boys quarter-finals involve cross-over playoff matches between the top two from the South-East and South-West sections, these &#8220;south&#8221; sections essentially include the Mississauga schools. The top two from the North-East and North-west sections meet in the other two quarter-finals, the &#8220;north\u2019 comprising teams from Brampton and Bramalea. South-East winner Applewood (W 6, L1) meets Stephen Lewis, South-West winner John Fraser (W 6, L 0) plays Rick Hansen (W 6, L1), North-East winner Sandalwood (W 6, L1) takes on North Park (W 4, L1, T 2), and North-West winner David Suzuki (W 6, L1) challenges Louise Arbour (W 5, L 2).<\/p>\n<p>Junior Boys Round Robin Scoring Highlights<\/p>\n<p>The Junior Boys round-robin games were played with a limit of six overs per side. Northern section winners North Park twice reached 72 runs from six overs, but the highest total was 94\/4 (6 overs) by T.L Kennedy in a Southern section game against Mentor College. Southern section winners Glenforest peaked with 73\/4 (6 ov) against John Fraser, who were held to to 44\/2 (6 ov). Southern section runner-up Port Credit peaked with the bat in two games against Mentor College, hitting 82\/3 (6 ov) in a 39 run win, and 82\/0 (6 ov) in a subsequent 40 run win.<\/p>\n<p>T.L. Kennedy produced a mixed bag of totals in a season of 4 wins and 4 losses. Kennedy hit a winning 75\/2 (6 ov) to beat John Fraser but tumbled to 17\/6 (all out) from 2.3 overs chasing Port Credit\u2019s 65\/6 (all out, 5.5 ov).<\/p>\n<p>North Park scored 72\/1 (6 ov) to beat Central Peel 20\/6 (all out, 5.5 ov) by 52 runs, and hit 72\/4 (6 ov) against Turner Fenton, who made 19\/5 (6 ov). Sandalwood\u2019s best total was 68\/2 (6 ov) against David Suzuki, who replied with 50\/6 (all out, 5.5 ov).<\/p>\n<p>Senior Boys Round Robin Scoring Highlights<\/p>\n<p>In the North-West group, Philip Pocock\u2019s 99\/3 (7.4 ov) edged out Central Peel\u2019s 97\/2 (8 ov) in a high-scoring close encounter. Section winners David Suzuki peaked with a 48 run win against St Joseph, Suzuki tallied 98\/3 from 8 overs. Second-placed North Park hit 110\/0 (8 ov) and bowled out Philip Pocock for 37 (7.3 ov).<\/p>\n<p>North-east group winner Sandalwood thumped 109\/2 from 8 overs then bowled out Ascension for 26 from 3 overs. Bramalea posted 105\/2 (8 ov) then bowled out Chinguacousy for 44 (5 ov) in the other game in this section where a school passed the 100 mark. Louise Arbour\u2019s best score in round-robin action was 97\/4 (8 ov) in a 59 run win against Harold M. Brathwaite.<\/p>\n<p>The South-East section included a close game that eventually decided the top two places. Applewood made 57\/3 (8 ov) while Rick Hansen made 56\/4 (8 ov). Applewood lost one game, struggling to 35\/6 (all out, 7.3 ov) in reply to Glenforest\u2019s 61\/2 (8 ov). Rick Hansen registered five of six wins batting second.<\/p>\n<p>John Fraser went undefeated with six wins in the South-West section, but in similar vein to the South-East section the final standings hinged on a game that went down to the wire against Stephen Lewis. John Fraser scored 57\/2 (8 ov) while Stephen Lewis scored 56\/1 (8 ov). John Fraser\u2019s best total was 86\/3 (8 ov) against Our Lady of Mount Carmel who was bowled out for 45 from 5.3 overs. Stephen Lewis hit 85\/2 (8 ov) and bowled out Clarkson for 14 (4.4 ov), and raced to 62\/0 from 6.4 overs to breeze past T.L. Kennedy\u2019s 60\/3 (8 ov).<\/p>\n<p>Playoffs between Toronto and Peel Indoor Cricket Champions<\/p>\n<p>Junior and Senior Boys indoor cricket playoffs are scheduled between the winners of the Peel Region tournament and the Toronto schools indoor cricket championship.
