North Albion Collegiate Institute won the Toronto District Schools indoor cricket championships at senior and junior levels last Thursday (May 15) at West Humber CI but lost in playoff matches against the Region of Peel Secondary Schools Athletic Association (ROPSSAA) champions. The junior inter-city match was won by Sandalwood Heights and the senior match was won by Rick Hansen.

\nThe ROPSSAA senior indoor cricket championship had been decided on Wednesday (May 15) when Rick Hansen beat Sandalwood. Sandalwood (62\/0 from 5.3 overs) had beaten North Park (60\/5 from 6 overs), as previously reported, to win the ROPSSAA junior final. <\/p>\n
Participation in the Toronto schools indoor cricket championship currently involves only schools within the western parts of Toronto. <\/p>\n
The Toronto phase of the CIMA\/CIBC Schools Cricket tournament is to be followed by the Toronto Schools outdoor boys cricket championships that have been taking place for more than ten years.
