The current Toronto Mayor, Rob Ford, will not be present but five other leading candidates for the Mayoral election later in 2014 had confirmed intentions to attend with CIMA by early on Friday. John Tory, Olivia Chow, Karen Stintz, David Soknacki and Sarah Thompson will all be &#8220;taking part&#8221; in Saturday\u2019s cricket, according to a message from one of the CIMA organizers. <\/p>\n<p>Perhaps some astute cricket administrators from leagues that play in the City of Toronto will prepare cost estimates about ground improvements to benefit the quality of cricket on city grounds, and incorporate ongoing annual maintenance costs by  Saturday morning and pass on copies to the various mayoral candidates of such budgetary plans.  Quality outfields and turf wickets would help prepare aspiring Canadian cricketers for the type of grounds on which international test, ODI and Twenty20 games are played.
