{"id":6186,"date":"2014-07-01T06:59:32","date_gmt":"2014-07-01T10:29:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.canadacricket.com\/?p=6186"},"modified":"2014-07-01T06:59:32","modified_gmt":"2014-07-01T10:29:32","slug":"peel-cricketers-eye-lord%e2%80%99s-as-toronto-mayor-team-to-visit-england","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.canadacricket.com\/?p=6186","title":{"rendered":"Peel cricketers eye Lord\u2019s as Toronto Mayor team to visit England"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> Nouman Khalil writes for Mississauga News<br \/>\nPeel region\u2019s six young players have set their eyes on Lord\u2019s Cricket Grounds \u2014 known as the \u2018Home of Cricket\u2019 for more than 200 years \u2014 after being selected for the Toronto Mayor\u2019s cricket team, which is scheduled to tour London, England, from July 18 to 26.<\/p>\n<p>The visit is part of the \u2018Cricket Across the Pond\u2019 program \u2014 a community initiative led by the Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation in partnership with Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).<\/p>\n<p>The CAP program is designed to provide opportunities for youth from diverse neighborhoods and develop social interaction among young people through cricket.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not the best cricket team that would go and win.
