{"id":7330,"date":"2015-04-06T12:36:37","date_gmt":"2015-04-06T16:06:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.canadacricket.com\/?p=7330"},"modified":"2015-04-06T12:36:37","modified_gmt":"2015-04-06T16:06:37","slug":"saskatchewan-club-seeks-players","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.canadacricket.com\/?p=7330","title":{"rendered":"Saskatchewan club seeks players"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Randy Brenzen, for Yorktown this week reports:-<br \/>\n\u201cThe sport is really growing,\u201d suggested Saskatchewan Cricket Association board member and Yorkton Cricket Association (YCA) President Thom Barker, \u201cNow we have teams in Estevan and Moose Jaw, Battlefords is coming up and Prince Albert probably within the next year or so, so that\u2019s great.\u201d<br \/>\nThat growth is in large part due to local athletes embracing the \u2018foreign\u2019 game; something that Barker hopes will continue to happen in Yorkton ahead of the 2015 cricket season, scheduled to begin in mid-May. \u201cWe\u2019re always looking for new people to come out and try it out,\u201d said Barker, adding that the club is not just looking for experienced players, but those new to the game or simply interested. \u201cWe know we\u2019ve got lots and lots of people in Yorkton who play but don\u2019t even know we exist right now.
