\nUsman Limbada (77*) and Shaheed Keshvani (78*) pulled off a major recovery for Toronto, who
\nhad been 30\/4 when Keshvani came to the crease.

A missed catch could have seen Toronto lose
\nfour wickets before reaching 30. Cecil Pervez and Junaid Siddiqui each picked up two wickets
\nin the early going, although Siddiqui \u201cgained\u201d a wicket after missing a catch off a skied chance
\nwhen Pervez was bowling. As the fifth wicket stand progressed, both batsmen seemed to find
\ntime to move around the crease and position themselves to steer the ball into gaps in the field or
\npower the ball to or beyond the boundary.
\nRuvindu Gunasekera struck a solid boundary then edged the ball to the keeper when the Canada
\nXI batted. Rizwan Cheema and Srimantha Wijeyratne attacked the bowling. Cheema\u2019s innings
\nended when he skied the ball into the wide mid-on area and one of two fielders attempting the
\ncatch managed to cling to the ball after they collided. Both fielders left the game; one had the
\nwebbing of one hand stitched and the other has a fractured collarbone.
\nWijeyratne went on to top-score with 33, Navi Dhaliwal followed his morning 76* with 19,
\nBabar looked useful scoring 27 and Harsh Thaker made 17. Cecil Pervez batted at number ten
\nfor the Canada XI in this innings after opening the bowling for Toronto.
