Play underway at Loyalist Ground<\/p><\/div>\n

Nova Scotia continued their dominance of eastern Canadian cricket, winning the\u00a0Atlantic T20 competition, held at Fredericton, New Brunswick September 11-13. Heavy rain prevented any play in Friday’s matches, and meant a schedule of 10 overs\/ side games was arranged for Saturday and Sunday.
\nThe tournament was a round-robin between New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, Newfoundland and Labrador and Quebec.
\nIn Saturday’s results NB beat PEI, Nova Scotia beat Newfoundland and Labrador by 8 wickets, and PEI by 9 wickets; and Quebec beat NL by 18 runs.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Nova Scotia beat NB by 19 runs, and Newfoundland and Labrador beat PEI. In a match that was in effect the bronze medal game Newfoundland and Labrador made 80, then thanks to 4 wickets from Samaa Madhawa (man of the match) won by 26 runs. Quebec and Nova Scotia played what was essentially the final to conclude the tournament, and a strong bowling effort from Nova Scotia gave them the championship by 5 wickets.<\/p>\n
