The camp is being conducted by veteran Zubin Bharucha, who was recently appointed by Cricket Canada as Director of Cricket Canada HP Academy. In a nationwide talent search, the Cricket Canada selectors have identified over 100 athletes to make up its first batch of prospects for the Cricket Canada HP academy. In the initial grading the players have been identified as :<br \/>\nThe Senior team Pool (this group has players from the last selections)<br \/>\nThe Senior Men\u2019s HP Pool prospects (A team)<br \/>\nDevelopment Pool (Talented players but not quite ready to be in A team and youth).<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>CAMP OBJECTIVES<br \/>\nIntroduce minimum standards required to be an HP player for Cricket Canada<br \/>\nIntroduce ways and means to achieve minimum standards with minimal costs<br \/>\nPlayer Assessment for HP Cricket Canada Academy and level assignment<br \/>\nTrain regional coaches for HP athlete monitoring and set up of regional academies.<br \/>\n1st week: August 2nd to August 5th 2016-4 days<br \/>\nDevelopment players and coaches from Ontario are being invited to attend this camp. Modern and unique cricket training skills will be introduced. This is a very intensive program that will test the skills learned and clearly demonstrate the acceptance level for playing advanced levels of competitive cricket. The equipment based training will be introduced which will benefit players that are self-motivated and committed. At the end of this week, some players may be asked to join the week 2 training as well.<br \/>\nAn email has been sent to all eligible participants. If you were expecting an invitation and haven\u2019t received the email , please contact Ingle Liburd via email ingletonliburd@cricketcanada.org<\/p>\n<p>2nd week August 8th to August 12, 2016- 5 days<br \/>\nAll non-Ontario players and coaches from across the country are to participate in this camp. The participants are:<br \/>\nSenior team pool (will be notified by email)<br \/>\nSenior team HP prospects (A team)<br \/>\nDevelopment Players from provinces other than Ontario<br \/>\nCoaches from provinces other than Ontario<br \/>\nPlayers promoted from Ontario Development Camp, the week before<br \/>\nAll provincial organisation have been contacted to nominate their regional coaches to attend the camp. The players that have been selected to join the 2nd week of the camp, will receive the information before Monday, 25th July 2016. <\/p>\n<p>Registration of independent coaches:<br \/>\nPersons involved in cricket coaching in Canada, whether certified or not are encouraged to attend this camp. Cricket Canada is interested in developing and promoting minimum standards for players that are interested in pursuing competitive cricket.
