Cricket Canada has selected the World Cricket Academy in India to host their 2011 Cricket World Cup training camp. The camp begins on November 15th and will see the team play and train in Delhi, Raipur, Nagpur and Mumbai.
\nTwo of Canada\u2019s matches will be played in World Cup venues, the Jamtha International Stadium (Nagpur) as well as Bombay Gymkhana, the host ground for India\u2019s first ever home test match. All eight of Canada\u2019s tour matches will be played against top domestic opposition in some of India\u2019s top cricket venues.
\nThe majority of the squad has left for Delhi and will be joined shortly by the rest of the players on the tour. John Davison (work) and Geoff Barnett (work) will join for the final matches of the tour while Henry Osinde (personal) will join midway through. Rizwan Cheema, Khuram Chohan and Hamza Tariq will remain in Toronto to train until their Visas are granted for travel to India. Umar Bhatti (injury) will remain in Toronto for treatment to his lower leg.
\nCricket Canada\u2019s President Ranjit Saini was thankful to the help from all over India including Mr. I.S. Bindra and the PCA (Mohali) who had first offered to host the Canadian Team earlier this year. Though the scheduling did not work out, the BCCI was of great assistance to Cricket Canada in organizing this tour. Professor Ratnakar Shetty (CAO) of the BCCI welcomed Canada with open arms to assist in World Cup preparation and assited in several matters pertaining to this tour. Mr. Rajan Nair (Media Officer) VCA and Mr. Samir Sanghavi (Cricket Operations) for Bombay Gymkhana must also be credited for their assistance in making this tour happen.

\nThe World Cricket Academy provides a unique opportunity for Canada to train in very diverse conditions including playing matches at world cup venues against quality opposition. Ingleton Liburd, Cricket Canada\u2019s Head of Cricket Operations, was on hand at Pearson International Airport to see the team off.

The World Cricket Academy is a worldwide cricket academy with locations in West Indies, South Africa, Sri
\nLanka, Australia and India. They have played host to several major teams from around the world including
