Re: Cricket Canada in the Media
It's all making sense now. Why does Cricket Canada drop a winning coach, drop the interim coach, parachute in players just prior to a major tournament, put in place a CEO with an "unbreakable" contract, and change captains ahead of another tournament ? Now we have a pretty good idea: https://www.cbc...

Re: Cricket Canada AGM
Special General Meeting held April 9th, 2026. President Amjad Bajwa unseated and replaced by Cricket BC president Arwinder Khosa.
Problem remains there is no accountability for these leaders.

Devesh Shankar posting on FB the trailer for a 5th Estate episode about CC and it looks damning. Apr. 16 on YT and 17th on CBC. :D So you follow D. Shankar as well. One of the few sources of information on Canadian cricket and the behind the scenes goings-on (shenanigans). Yes, looking forward to 5...

Re: Cricket Canada announcements and news
^ This could be said of CC at various times over the last 3 decades. But yes, I read the FB of one fellow who seems knowledgeable of the goings on in Cricket Canada. The top CC admins have apparently been fending off a bid from the provinces to oust them. Also, the head of Ontario has been charged w...

Re: T20 WC 2026
A poor T20 World Cup for Canada (perhaps their last for some time) ends with four defeats. The team never threatened a win. One or two noteworthy performances were provided but nothing resembling a match winner. Ineffective bowling and weak batting remain a concern.

Re: Canada @ 2024-6 CWC League 2
Navneet Dhaliwal's retirement, though it was coming at some point, is a significant loss for the current League 2 campaign and Canada's almost certain requirement to play the Playoff Qualifier tournament. At 37, he is still the most reliable bat in the side and remains capable to posting big runs. I...
