Re: T20 WC 2024
^ And Junaid Siddiqui, Rayan Pathan and Kanwar Tathgur brought into the team. I'd agree about Dutta. I would have thought Dutta quickfire scoring might have tipped the scales in his favour ahead of Siddiqui. Dropping stalwart, Wijeyeratne was another tough decision. The two are not even in the liste...

Re: Cricket Canada funding and financials
Cricket Canada has updated their financial statements on the website for the first time in a number of years. They reveal that during the pandemic, CC received minimal licensing fees from the GT20. The exception was 2021 when they got a large sum, possibly related to the aborted attempt to play the ...

Re: Canadian overseas players
Matthew Spoors played in the 2023/24 Western Australia Premier (formerly First Grade) competition with Scarborough. He was joint winner in the voting for top player with 549 runs and also contributing some useful bowling performances. In an interview he said he had returned to western Australia to b...

Re: Cricket Canada AGM
I didn't think CC would change leadership when things are going so well for the organization, but Amjad Bajwa has been elected the new President. Like Rashpal Bajwa, he is a former Cricket BC President.

Re: USA vs Canada
Canada improved as the series went on but the US with their newly qualified players has too much depth. Canada struggle to match them without their top bowlers. Nitish Kumar top-scoring for the Americans adds insult to injury :( USA sweeps the series 4 - 0. Hope our coach has a better idea of his be...

Re: USA vs Canada
Canadian bowling struggling in the series so far. Allowing the Americans to post 230 for the loss of 3 wickets won't get the job done. The only good thing is that Uday Bhagwan and Rishiv Joshi are getting matches at about 23 year-old. Hope they will develop into mainstay bowlers.

Re: USA vs Canada
^ I like the $pla$h of TD green on the front of the kit, though :). Canada brought down so many to the Houston camp was to see what T20 talent was in the pool. It would be disappointing if they end up with the same 11 that plays the ODIs. They did add Joshi but he is just filling in for Kaleem Sana....

Re: ICC favorite son/daughter (yet again)
USA to host Canada at the Prairie View Cricket Complex facility in Houston, Texas. It has neither locker rooms nor washrooms. Not a pleasant venue for either team. It is one thing to play there against Canada. But, the USA is planning to host test nation Bangladesh there in May. Wonder whether that ...

Re: Cricket Canada announcements and news
At the recent USA National Championships they lost games. It wasn’t raining but the outfield was wet. Ummmmm….King City? Canada is hosting ODIs later this year. What is CC doing about the facilities? Genuine question. I know. I've mentioned this a few times. Games at King City are at risk with even...
