Re: Global T20 Canada

I don't believe that these international stars would involve themselves with a tournament that could become a total farce. Wouldn't their management teams check it out? I can't find the article but there was one recently that suggested that all of these T20 leagues lose money but the owners are not ...

Re: development

The Klondike Cricket Club will be having its first cricket clinic this coming Sunday, May 06. We are going to have a few more clinics before we go on the pitch. We have over 60 enthusiasts of all demographics. We are inviting Cricket Canada and Cricket BC to visit us in the Historical City of Dawson...

Americas A Qualifier

Canada, USA, Panama, Belize from Sept. 16-23 likely in Florida. In my view, Canada should send a mix of experience and youth to develop players. They shouldn't have any problem beating the Central Americans. Don't worry about winning the tournament as such. Send a few HP guys and guys from all over ...

Re: Dainty not dead yet!

Where's Dassanayake in all this? Probably cursing under his breath in several languages. Someone (ICC? HA!) should be setting up a Windies/Pak/USA/Can quadangular tournament.

Re: Associate 50 ov & First Class competitions 2019-2023

But I like the longest format the best. I'm way more interested in the ICup than the Americas T20. Am I one of those awful purist die-hards? I wish the Auty Cup still contained a multi-day game. I'm afraid the next installment will be heavy on T20. I realize that nobody is at the ground watching ICu...

Re: Cricket Canada in the News

Yeah the publicity is good for cricket around here, but I remember the foreign minister in the Conservative gov't having a photo op and an announcement of a tour by an Indian team which never materialized. This is mostly to appeal to immigrant community voters. Gift horse I suppose.

Re: Canada Domestic Season

I remember last year at the Western Canada T20 that there were selectors watching the games. I guess they didn't select anyone?

Re: CC looking for help (again)

Should I hold my breath waiting for a Cricket Canada National Stadium? A proper international calibre stadium would be good but who would fill the place? There are also the calls for several volunteer committee positions so possibly, and I hope, CC is really getting it together administratively.

Canada Domestic Season

It's worth posting this again. There is an Americas Div.2 T20 tournament next week involving Cayman Islands, Argentina and Bermuda. The top two will go to the regional final apparently slated for sometime in 2019. ie. not Belize or Panama and not in August. The following are provisional dates for 20...
