Re: Are Windies gentrifying their cricket?

Reports now claim Windies will also be playing Pakis in Lauderhill.
More cricket for the Silicon Valley Desies...less and less for the poor
cricket fans in the islands.

Are Windies gentrifying their cricket?

In interview CEO of Windies Cricket has big plans to bring Windies cricket to Laudherhill. Gonna play India there next year and every year til 2022 (copycatting MLB in London?). Says its to "develop" cricket in states (after seven years not much to show, with Americans showing absolutely no more int...

Re: ICC favorite son/daughter (yet again)

Blatant favoratetism for sure, but won't make much difference with the T20 Qualifier since just a formality for USA/Canucks to advance. More troubling is the WC D3 qualifier since team "USA" will come to the tourney straight from some good quality competition, which I assume the other countries won'...

USA elections

Well, the election results for the new BOD for USA cricket are in with less than impressive results. Despite all the effort, time, and $$$, ICC got less than 6K players to join the new national organization. Of these, less than half voted! No one elected got more than 600 votes. The mandated women's...

Re: u19 WC qualifying

Don't know how reliable that report is. Wouldn't be surprised if
a combined Americas U19 team ends up in the tourney.

Re: u19 WC qualifying

The U19 qualifier is, and always has been, very unbalanced. The Americas qualifying spot once again is between just two countries, USA and Canada. The only easier qualifying sport is East Asia where PNG has a virtual walkover. To make things more competitive ICC should put Hong Kong and Thailand in ...

Imran Kahn next Paki PM?

Reports say his PTI party won the recent Paki elections and that
he'll most likely be the next PM. Might we see Trump bowling
him a few deliveries when he visits the White House? :?: :?: :?:

Re: Global T20 Canada

Finals were certainly the best attended in the tourney but hardly a sell out. Looked at the highlight video and still saw fair amount of empty seats, at least in the bleachers. More importantly WHO were in the stands? Just expats or mainstream Canucks? As I posted earlier, will Meruri release offici...
