Canadian overseas players
Re: Canadian overseas players
Haven't seen anything mentioned about John Davison but as he was announced as Italy's T20 coach, he shares in the glory as that country (with several Aussies in the team) qualifies for the 2026 ICC T20 WC. Scotland misses out !
Re: Canadian overseas players
Without fanfare from Cricket Canada, Kaleem Sana is playing for Dubai Capitals in the Global Super League tournament. He took 4/31 in a losing cause vs Guyana Amazon Warriors.
Re: Canadian overseas players
The following members/former members of the national team are listed for the 2025 edition of the MAX 60 Caribbean tournament (T10):
Dipreet Bajwa (Caribbean Tigers)
Aaron Johnson (Florida Lions)
Matthew Spoors (Cayman Bay Stingrays)

Re: Canadian overseas players
This is good for them.
I see Spoors has played and taken a couple of wickets. Scored 2 runs off of two balls. On my team that would get him a fine for not enough runs

Worcestershire CC note on Toby Cox's Canadian adventure : https://wccc.co.uk/news/youngster-cox-e ... 9-call-up/
He's still 17 and contacted CC to get his opportunity.

Re: Canadian overseas players
^ In this light, it may be for the best that GT20 Canada was cancelled for 2025. Cricket Canada with egg on their faces yet again for their glowing endorsements of the new GT20 and Canada Super60 owners. Too many tournaments, not enough talent/fans to go around.
ICC and World Cricketers' Association should have required sanctioned tournaments to put aside the players' salaries in case the failure failed. This has happened too frequently.

Re: Canadian overseas players
Another pair of English brothers with Canadian ties, as well as a Calgary-born New Zealander :
Finn and Jacob Gordon and Ben Breitmeyer recently played their debuts for the same club in the top Toronto & DCL division. The were apparently recruited to play in the KT20 prize money tournament. However, the fact that these players travelled all the way to Canada probably means they are interested in pursuing international cricket with Canada.
Finn Gordon: 18 years old, Hamshire CC Academy, all-rounder
Jacob Gordon: 23 years old, all rounder
Benjamin Breitmeyer: 20 years old, former NZ U19

Re: Canadian overseas players
Browsing an MiLC draft video, there seems to be no Canadian players. Are they still TBD?
