Tim Cutler on the EC podcast saying “the million dollars or so you get every year to be in the League 2”. Also funding for T20i ranking so the T20s tagged onto the end of these ODI series are not meaningless.

Rod Lyall at Emerging Cricket saying the ICC is warning of 30% funding cuts starting in 2028. Is the pie getting smaller?

^ Hmmm. So would the Associate competitions be affected (CWC League 2 or Challenge Leagues) ? Funding for player salaries in League 2 ?

In view of this Cricket Canada might want to do their best to retain their corporate sponsors. If only the new board's actions had not made such of mess of what should have been a very bright year in 2024. They should also hope that Sport Canada see fit to grant more funding to cricket now that it is an Olympic sport.
