It was not an AB team with a bunch of Canada players.

Every year there is the Jack Kyle Cup which is contested by AB and BC u19s. It’s only one weekend where they play two T20s on Saturday and a 50 over game on Sunday. This year there was no Cup apparently because AB could not field a team due to lack of funding. I hope it gets back on track in 2023 especially with some sort of WC qualifier. CC should have a pathway to international glory!

Actually meanwhile in BC…
The election at Cricket BC held last November has been overturned by the BC Supreme Court because of irregularities. A new election to be held in March. The election of the President has been declared “a nullity”. I am now seeing the word ‘nullity’ thrown around in emails like it’s a normal word.

Of course you know that a few hundred years ago William Shakespeare wrote a play called Much Ado About Nothing. Well, a fellow named Vimal Hardat, who has a history also with Cricket Canada, was elected President of Cricket BC but the election was overturned by the BC Supreme Court and a new election was ordered by the court. Hardat was elected anyway. I think it’s $2500/club levy for legal expenses. I think $500/club for Victoria but I think they have said “No f***** way!” Or words to that effect.
