49* for Dutta with a completely terrible batting performance from his teammates. The Minor league cricket games are on youtube if you’re interested. Seems like tiny boundaries.

Checking the MiLC
Kumar averaged 20. took 13 wickets and four catches
Dutta averaged 31. took 9 wickets and five catches
Heyliger is listed as a player for San Diego (same as Dutta) but I don’t see his stats.

Nicholas Kirton is in the Barbados team for the West Indies four day Championship. Matthew Nandu is on the Guyana team.

^ Good catch. No idea how Kirton keeps getting these gigs but CC won't mind that he can play professionally and represent Canada. If Nandu plays it might be a useful indicator of how likely he is to make a career in cricket. Guyana and Barbados meet Feb 1-4 ... some Canada-related cricket to follow.

There might be another schedule conflict for Kirton. The 3rd, 4th and 5th rounds of the CWI 4-day tournament start March 15th, March 22nd and March 29th. Kirton will have to miss at least the final 2 and likely the final 3 matches if he is named to the Canada squad.

Part of the reason for Kirton being named to the team is that the test guys are away. Maybe they'll be back for the last games of the comp? Also, I hope he gets in the playing XI.

Nandu has posted his first First Class 50 for Guyana against Barbados ... and now a First Class century on his debut! Kirton is in the Bajan team having taken a catch and bowled a single over (maiden) so far.

Kirton not in the XI for Barbados. Nandu obviously is playing for Guyana. He bowled two overs for 5 runs!

Nitish Kumar selected with Los Angeles Knight Riders' 4th pick in the Major League Cricket draft. It may open other doors for him as well.
He has chosen to prioritize his professional career as many others might do in his place. Such is Associate cricket.

CWI 4-Day
3rd round: Guyana vs T&T
Nandu 10 & 33

4th round: Guyana vs Jamaica
Nandu 1 & 0

5th round: Guyana vs Windward Islands
Nandu 22 & 3

Nandu's form has dipped since the return of some of the WI test players, which is to be expected. He is yet to turn 20 and needs more experience.

A couple of semi interesting tidbits from the Emerging Cricket podcast.
Nitish Kumar lives in the Houston area.
MiLC is not profitable but it’s still going ahead.
