Team ICC...oops! Excuse me! I mean, "Team USA" going for the North
American Trifecta. Knocked out Canuck senior men...knocked out Canuck
women...now going to bring down the last leg of Canuck cricket, U19s. One final
step to ICC's grand plan of putting Yanks on top of North American cricket...permanently!

Finally, a bit of good news for Canada after a difficult 2019 at the hands of their arch rivals. The U19 men defended their Americas title to represent the region in South Africa early next year.

But what's going on down there, Timmy? New CEO in place straight from ICC headquarters, ... then the head coach resigns after the U.S. has achieved their greatest result to date. The ICC settling in to run the ship?

What's going on? Why, ICC still going full speed ahead in their reckless
dream of cricket's "great market potential" in states. Hired the best
CEO money can buy...chucked out old coach, brought in new ones to
get "Teams USA" to WC. ICC building, step by step, what they think will be a huge, massive, cricket power.
But like the watch put together, piece by piece, the only question that matters is...WILL IT RUN?

BTW, how's Saini taking all this? Is he going to be demanding ICC hire a high powered
CEO for CC as well?

I imagine President Saini is none too happy about the continued ICC support of a single Associate member, and yet he and all the other Associate leadership are far too reticent to denounce it publicly.

What is also regrettable is the best-known bloggers and critics in Associate cricket circles having so little to say about the special treatment conveyed on the U.S.. Meanwhile they are never shy in decrying the gap in funding between Full members and Associates.

Other AAs probably not complaining 'cause they think they'll be able to jump on the band wagon
when this "great market potential" of USA cricket comes to reality. In other words, they've been duped as
badly as ICC. :( :(

ICC suspends Zimbos and won't let their national teams play in any competitions.
When ICC suspended USA they let "Team USA" to continue playing in all competitions. Said they
didn't want to "penalize the players."!!! This blatant double standard stinks to high heaven!

Shocker! ICC International XI OUT... don't even get to the T20 WC Qualifier! All the money! All the scrounging! All the coaching! And
the T20 WC was the one tourney where they had at least a realistic chance to qualify with 16 teams. ICC bet the farm on
"Team USA". They've done NOTHING else for cricket in America and as a result will just have to sit on their hands for the next
three years.

"...will just have to sit on their hands for the next

Not exactly. There are the ODIs and the 2021 T20 WC to aim for. I expect there's head shaking and cursing at the ICC but also discussions of what to do next.

2021 WC is a repackage of the Champions Trophy. Won't give the ICC International XI much
time to scrounge around for more mercenaries.

Peter Della Penna, in his scathing review on Dreamcricket of "Team USA"
players says "it has never been easy for other players from outside the
South Asian or West Indies communities to adjust to life in the USA
team." That pretty much sums it up perfectly how the expat community
is holding back cricket in North America!
