Apparently Uganda will prepare for a month against an India Academy side. What are Canada’s plans?

The groups and warm-up games schedule for 2022 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup in West Indies has been announced, with the main draw tournament matches taking place across venues in Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana and St Kitts & Nevis from January 14th – February 05th. The top two (2) teams in each group at the end of single round-robin group stage format will advance to the quarterfinals stage of the tournament, while the bottom two (2) teams from each group will contest in the Plate Championships to decide the final positions in the 16-team event.

(Also profiled in Wickets Oct 2021 edition)

Hopefully, he can make a go of it in the WI professional ranks but does not succeed too much so he rejoins Canada in a few years. :D

The WI team will have a high performance camp. The Canadians can’t just show up and compete!

History, a lack of new funding and a pandemic says this is exactly what Cricket Canada is planning.

New Zealand U19s are withdrawing. They are replaced by Scotland.

Group D, which had been the only one without an Associate now has one.

The Zimbabwe u19s are playing many games against franchise teams, including Zim internationals. And a fan forum is saying they are going to be badly unprepared. Nothing like the Canadians!
