Kind if exciting to watch the scorecards on the app but I wish I could watch or at least see some highlights.

Two games Thursday as the U25s get another chance to play against a "Combine XI". Nice to see organizers working to give opportunities to the players. The HP performances of individual players have been up and down as they adjust to different teammates. Hope the coach and selectors were able to identify the talent for the development team and any minor adjustments to the senior side.

Strange that Dutta was announced as a HP tournament participant but did not play today's match. What's up with that?

Looking forward to see the 1st and 2nd All Star squads and the announcement of the team for Malaysia.

I’m really disappointed at the low scores. 159/10 and 102/10. The batting is not as good as the bowling. Plenty of very low scores and not batting out the 50 overs. The highest score of the tournament was 240. You need over 300 internationally don’t you?

^ The low scores are somewhat expected with players feeling the pressure to perform for a national team or development squad place. Also the teams are thrown together for a couple of matches then shuffled to form the All Star teams. Players may not get to bat at their preferred order.

The HP National Championship was a useful undertaking, if a little short. Many good performances but also inconsistency due to the brief nature of the event. The Coach and selectors will have their work cut out for them with the varied performances of players.

Unfortunately, Rayyan Pathan's run of bad form continues. With Wijeyeratne's apparent return, he could reprise his opener role.

This team has to get a lot better to not only win their Challenge League but compete for a return to the top level of Associate cricket. The changes have to be applied now.
