Canada really need the practice. They are out of game shape and not used to playing under the lights. A much stronger Bahrain (from the Global T20 Qualifier), dropped catches and bad deliveries mean Canada are chasing a huge score.

Clearly, there was nothing in the deck for the bowlers. I really liked Canada’s running in the chase. They picked up the occasional extra run by being alert. A couple of brutal misfields by Bahrain helped.

Was looking like a continuation of Canada's atrocious record in this format but some big hitting won the day. No glaring failures in the batting, just need to tighten up the bowling and fielding.

It looks like Canada won by 66 runs. I don’t mind because it’s match practice but it wasn’t as thumping a win as Oman had v Saudi Arabia.

I like the fact that the team is right back in game action the next day. There are chances for the coach to change a player here and there and see who performs in 20 and 50 over formats.

It's a great tour - wonder how we're paying for it. Galaxy Racer seems to be the sleeve sponsor but get no mention in the social media posts.

Don't look now but Bahrain is causing problems for Oman as well (73/5 in 13). The Bahrainis have really improved in a few months. They could be in the Challenge League soon - Canada needs to promote.

Impressive victory against Oman! Great throw at the end! What’s the matter with these guys? They got the runout at the end and started celebrating before the umpire made a decision! What if the players kept running? Was it a dead ball because the umpire signalled the TV umpire?

This was the kind of close match Canada needed to learn how to win. Hope to see some close fights in the one-day series with Oman as well. They'll have to cut out those premature celebrations, though.

It seems to me that Bahrain has to absolutely wallop Saudi Arabia to catch Canada on NRR so if Oman beats Canada it will be Canada and Oman in the final. Going in I thought three t20s against Oman - great! but Bahrain have proven to be a good side.
