Ray - did you get up early to watch the game? What a guy! For me, the games are exactly in the night so I'll be looking for highlights - hopefully more than two minutes worth!
I think you might be panicking a little. Canada's main goal, I think, is "Mission ODI". Which means finishing above two of Jersey, PNG and UAE. They got fifties from two guys. Man of the Match Dutta is probably the best player in the team. I wonder about the strike rates although it might have been the right approach as the game unfolded. Thaker with 27 off 47 seems slow to me and Dutta with 56 off 82 also although the team was for 8 at the end so...
Why is Ravi Singh at #10? Maybe 8 would be better? I too hope that top order guys get some runs. Let's not forget Gordon and Zafar with three wickets each.

^^ Yes, perhaps panicking a little :D . But after the 2018 and 2019 WCL D2 tournaments, who can blame me  ? Jersey are on paper the weakest, most inexperienced of our competitors so it only gets tougher from here. Hoping Canada grow into the tournament.

Dare to believe! Canada defeats USA! Also PNG lost so Canada has a two game lead on them.

I’m thinking future ODIs between Canada and USA. Maybe the Auty Cup? Not much traveling?

CC must read the forum. Singh batted 9th. Like I keep saying…Sana might be the best player in the team  Dutta out for 0. Terrific economy but no wickets. Johnson, Kirton and Thaker with good runs. Low scoring game though huh?

What a result against the USA! These two sides always play it close despite the disparity in funding/matches. Finally, Canada wins a close match. Should help build confidence and erase a few memories of Nepal in 2018.

Those were some great bowling performances to defend < 200.

Will be cheering to USA tomorrow to beat UAE.

Typical "Team USA." Win games they're expected to lose...lose games they're expected to win!
This qualifier going to go down to the wire; probably be decided by NRR.

USA defeat UAE by 5 wickets. However, UAE did post another good score of 279/9. They seem to have re-found some form after some major batting collapses in the last month in CWC League 2. Canada will need continued resilience in the batting and more production from the top order, particularly Pargat Singh and Matthew Spoors. Eventually, low scores will catch up with us.

Like I said, going down to the wire. If Namibia beats Canucks and no
more upsets this thing will come down to NRR.
