Netherlands and Namibia are set to play Nepal in the coming weeks. That will tell us something about where Canada is.

A pretty good innings from Canada. A bit of a batting collapse but a couple of dodgy decisions but there’s no TV umpire. Kirton was hard done by in a stumping and Thaker was pissed to be given out for a nick to the keeper so he probably knows he didn’t edge it.

List A/ODI debut for Dilpreet Bajwa who just smashed a six as I’m typing. Commentator’s curse! (or blessing?) then bowled for a cameo!

Then on comes Saad bin Zafar, one of Canada’s best players and a good captain, but he’s 37. Good for this cycle for the next couple of years but then who will captain?

Definitely some good hard running between the wickets.

I’m really heartened by Canada getting some good scores. 285/9. Now go and defend it!

Neps win easily by four wickets, 29 balls to spare. Canada couldn't
chase down a modest 224 total in the first match. Shows the big gap
between Canada and the better associates.

The good news is Canada seem to be capable of scoring a decent total. However, there has to be some concern with the way Nepal easily coasted home. Even another 30 runs might have been within Nepal's reach. The 3rd wicket partnership of ~150 runs all but won the match.

This Nepal team is a good test for Canada but is not their strongest side. The Canadians have to gain experience quickly and be able to translate it into wins against the calibre of opponent.

33/1 after the 1st powerplay is a bit slow.
