Wikipedia (from Czarsportz) saying there’ll be an Americas qualifier hosted by USA from Aug 7-17 featuring Argentina, Bermuda, Canada, Suriname and the USA. One team advances.

Anyone know anything about a President’s Cup u19 HP thing? It looks like there were two 50 over games on July 4. Scorecards on the CC website.

^ I've only seen the same as you. Apparently a tournament for U19-eligible players in preparation for the selection of Canada's next team. Yuvraj Samra in one of the sides. I assume this tournament includes top players from across the country and not just Ontario.
=====================================
Update:
Looking at the scorecards for July 7th, it seems a Toby Cox is in Samra's team. The brother of Ollie Cox, the younger Toby is bowler an appears to have taken a place in the Worcestershire CC 2nd XI even as Ollie lost his.

The Canada v USA game is on the USA Cricket youtube channel. The USA fielding looks very sharp. Canada going well though.

"Team USA" totally outplays Canucks. With all the H1B Desis flooding the USA don't see 51st state beating them...maybe ever again.

It's a bit tough on Samra, but as captain as well as the most talented and experienced member of his side, he has to score more against the Americans. He did lead from the front as Canada's top bowler but that in itself is a concern with no other bowler standing out. The hole Canada has dug for themselves is likely too large but they have to focus on a win in the second encounter with the hosts.

Argentina only there to make up the numbers, it seems. Bowled out for 23 and 19 by Canada and the United States, respectively.

T Cox looks like a player. A really nice smooth runup.
We’re going to hear a lot about a Bermuda guy names Horan in the next 20 years. He’s by far the best batter and bowler on the team.

Canada chose to bat first in their 2nd match against Argentina ... on a day when rain delayed the start and was apparently threatening ?!!. Not only that but they played out their available overs (not retiring their batsmen). Match is abandoned because of rain. Unbelievable decision making by the Canadian staff ! Who is the coach ?

================================================
Edit:
It is funny watching CC Facebook trying to put lipstick on a pig:
Our boys put on a good show but rain has the final say.
To answer my own question, former men's head coach and current HP coach, Araminder Bhinder is leading the U19s. Good job, coach. Good job, Cricket Canada.
