Reports state New Zealand cricket's gonna have their own
MLC franchise by 2027 and that Toronto's the front runner for
its location.
Kiwis were the first to rush into Lauderhill when
it opened and pulled out after two years. Let's see what
happens with this gig.

They still say they are exploring having an MLC team in Canada. Great. But if USAC wants to grow the game, why not a few more comps involving Canada teams? Auti Cup?

MLC 2026 is starting. It was in doubt because of ACE and USACA turmoil. I'm frankly more interested in the Germany/Denmark series.

Toronto and Chicago getting MLC franchises ?

I'd prefer to have our own GT20 but a financially-stable franchise league based in Canada doesn't seem possible.
Will there ever be a series of matches in Canada ? Where would they play ?
Wonder how many Canadians will be in the side ? Yuvraj Samra and ... ?

Devesh Shankar saying his sources indicate a Major League Cricket franchise based in the GTA will be added as early as 2027. Another Canadian franchise could be added later. If owners for the GT20 can be found it could run in parallel to MLC since very few, if any, MLC matches will be hosted on Canadian soil. However, GT20 is dead for the time being.
This could be good news for a few Canadian players but it does very little for Canadian cricket without actually hosting matches.
