It's worth posting this again. There is an Americas Div.2 T20 tournament next week involving Cayman Islands, Argentina and Bermuda. The top two will go to the regional final apparently slated for sometime in 2019. ie. not Belize or Panama and not in August.
The following are provisional dates for 2018 Cricket Canada events:-
Western T20: 22-23 June in BC
Central T20: 22-23 June in Ontario
Eastern T20: June 30-July 2 in Quebec
Canada Cup U17: 1-8 July in BC
National T20 – July 6-8; Toronto
Women – National T20 July 6-8 Toronto
ICC Americas T20 in August (USA), USA/Belize/ Panama /Canada – California
Canada Domestic Season
Re: Canada Domestic Season
I guess we can pencil in the "Mercuri" T20 league (tournament) for this summer as well. Sometime after the National T20?
Journalist Peter Della Penna is reiterating that there will be some Americas T20 action for the USA this year:

If the USA is playing Americas T20 qualifiers, most likely Canada would be as well. We shall see. From there, squads are expected to be picked for USA's assignments for the rest of 2018. These include the Auty Cup series against Canada, the start of 2020 World T20 qualifying and WCL Division Three.
Re: Canada Domestic Season
The ICC Americas qualifier is the tournament in August listed on the Cricket Canada site- USA/Belize/ Panama /Canada – California. Top 2 advance to ICC Americas finals the next year I think.
Re: Canada Domestic Season
Have there been any players coming out for the Eastern and Western tournaments? The idea of these tournaments should be ideally to pick out players that can go on to play for Canada or at least get recognized for high performing camps.
Can't remember a single player coming from QC, PEI or Newfoundland and going on to play for Canada in the past five years. At any level.

Re: Canada Domestic Season
I remember last year at the Western Canada T20 that there were selectors watching the games. I guess they didn't select anyone?
Re: Canada Domestic Season
Yes, the CC information was puzzling at first as the qualifying format is much different from years past.

There are two World T20 sub-regional qualifiers being played in the Americas this year. Later (2019?) there will be an Americas WT20 regional qualifier with the top two teams advancing to the World T20 Qualifier (14 teams, 6? berths available for the World T20). Some of this is based on educated guesses from Associate pundits.
