A piece on cricinfo says the Thailand women's team does HP training in India as much as possible. The Thai team is in the Asia Cup semifinal with all native players. It’s just an example of Canada being left way behind. Our players should, first of all, have much more good domestic play and pathway, and also, as much as possible, train in the USA or WI.

Of course, the USA is again in financial and administrative turmoil. Sheesh.

Don't fret your little head now! ICC will bail 'em out...they always do. ;) ;)

On another topic...nice Cricinfo article on how Thailand women have
achieved their success by investing in LOCAL, not expat, talent.
Anyone at CC listening??? :? :?

This Fairbreak organization will be holding a women's tournament
in Houston in September. Any Canuck women going to be invited?

In a podcast this Shaun Martyn guy who runs Fairbreak says they're going to invite
women from Canada, Mexico, etc. to play in their USA gig this September.
Anything from CC about this? Also says they're going to hold their
gig in the USA for the next three years.

There seems to be no Canadian women at the Fairbreak tournament in Hong Kong. I wonder why not? It's possible no one wanted or was able to go. Not going to qualify for any good tournaments missing opportunities like this one.
