If four of the top eight cricket teams don't make it to the Super 8
ratings disaster for ICC followed by 10 team 2026 WC...

Canada vs Pakistan ... so far it is going as you might have expected. Only three Canadians reach double figures with a commendable effort from Aaron Johnson making a fifty.
Canada 106/7 in 20.

Easy Pakistan win with only 2 wickets lost in the chase. Gordon and Heyliger with respectable figures but there wasn't much of a total to defend. Kaleem Sana hasn't found his game on the big stage. Canada needed more from him.

The USA will have to beat Ireland to advance. Canada weren't able to offer much resistance against Pakistan and it doesn't seem the Irish will either.

The USA Ireland game is abandoned. The USA is in the super8 and so qualify for the next WC. I guess then Canada can qualify as well.

Heavy rains in Florida over the past few days is wreaking havoc with important WC fixtures. Sri Lanka v Nepal lost and now USA v Ireland. With that two seeds are gone and the Americans qualify for the Super 8.

Canada v India and Ireland v Pakistan could yet be lost.

I think we can look forward to Canada having lots of t20i against top associates when they play ODI tri series.

Doesn't really matter if the Lauderhill matches are played or not.
They're both MEANINGLESS! :( :( No interest for fans or players.

Not going for ‘meaningless’. To score a run at a WC v India? Or take a wicket? Awesome! Also the possibility of boosting the career.

It seems to me a solution for the ICC is they can have 20 teams but if the teams, specifically the top teams, play more games then the best teams will get through. They can overcome an upset.

Canada finishes 4th in its group with a win, two losses and a match abandoned. They missed their chance to defeat their hosts when in a favourable position but in the end it is reasonable to say they exceeded expectations with their single win. It was a good tournament for Kirton, Johnson, Movva, Heyliger and Gordon.

Apparently Canada gave up more extras than any other associate team with 34. Extra deliveries don’t help!
