Whew! Canada smoke Bahamas and don’t drop a point. Samra supposedly only 18?

^ Yes, I was glad to see the match was completed so we remain a win ahead of Bermuda. And yes, I think Samra is eligible for another U19 championship. I say again Canada needs to retain their ODI status to expose more top youth like Yuvraj Samra to the top level of Associate cricket.

Canada takes care of the Bahamas of course. Probably improve their NRR lead as well. I’m just glad they got the game in.

OMG! Bermuda lost to the Caymans today so Canada have won the tournament with one game to spare. I hope they experiment a little tomorrow. Maybe someone is eligible who doesn’t yet have a cap.

Bit of a shocker with Cayman win indeed. In the now meaningless final match with Bermuda, I would hope to see Bajwa build on his performances with another game and Mahir Patel try to score some runs. Ansh Patel should also be able to make his case to the selectors for more high-stakes games.

Qualification means guaranteed $300K (U.S.) for next year which is always welcome.

Now that Canada are qualified for next year's ICC T20 World Cup, perhaps Cricket Canada would like to integrate their politically-motivated player inclusions into the squad now and save the incumbents the shock of being dropped last minute without cause.
