... and it is done. Cricket joins the Pan American Games for Lima 2027. This should be a boost to cricket in the region, though probably more on the women's side where the game can grow fastest. The details of how teams qualify will be very interesting.
It could help Cricket Canada qualify for additional Sports Canada funding.

Asia (India), Africa (South Africa), Europe (England) and Oceania (Australia) will each send their top ranked team to the 2028 Olympics. USA will be the Americas representative.
There will be a qualifier for the remaining place in the tournament. West Indies will have a single team in the qualifier. The manner for determining the other participants in the qualifier has yet to be decided but expect there to be a place for the top Full Members.
