Cricket Canada dismiss the CEO they hired in January. What took them so long ? He should never have been in the position in the first place. So, will they fill the position again ... maybe someone not charged with a crime this time.

With the change in CC leadership, positions on the selection panel are being sought again. Also, Canada will try to find new coaches to head the national teams, including the 3rd attempt in under two years at landing a coach for the men's team.

According to the Toronto Sun, Canada has signed up Monty Desai to coach the men's team for a second stint. It comes very late to help the players, less than 2 months before they host USA and the Netherlands in a League 2 series. As in 2019 before the ill-fated WCL Division 2, Desai has to learn about the players' strengths and weaknesses on short notice.

Something about Desai’s ‘’ability to transform teams through effective leadership, discipline, and a clear long term plan.’’ That’ll have Dassanayake chortling.
