This morning Pandit Basdeo Maharaj passed away to join his maker at St. Micheal’s Hospital in Toronto. This has left a huge gap in Canadian cricket and it has suffered a serious set back with the passing of this stalwart of Canadian cricket.
The Ontario Cricket Association (OCA), on behalf of the cricketing fraternity in Ontario is expressing our deepest condolences to the family of in this hour of difficulty. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. May his soul rest in peace.
The OCA is calling upon all cricketing groups to come together and to honour Pandit Basdeo from a united Ontario in a show of Respect, not only for what he did for cricket, but also for the great person he was.
