The Canadian Under-19 cricket team will take part in four 50-over warm-up matches next week in Trinidad and Tobago in preparation for their participation in the ICC Americas 2011 Tournament, Under-19 Division 1 Championship to be held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from February 6-13.
The team will spend one week in T&T to prepare for this tournament. Their first practice match is on Monday against a T&T Under-17 team at the National Cricket Centre, Balmain, Couva from 10 a.m.
The teams will be met by the Canadian High Commissioner and Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board president Azim Bassarath ahead of Monday’s match.
The Canadians are also scheduled to face Premier League clubs First Citizens Clarke Road United and PowerGen as well as Championship Division clubs Munroe Road.
Canada arrive in T&T tomorrow and will stay at the Sir Frank Worrell Development Centre in Balmain.
