There is a six team cricket event on the schedule this weekend in the Greater Toronto Area’s 7th Annual Asian Community Games. The overall games take place at York University, except for the golf which is set for Angus Glen Golf Course, Markham.
 
Saturday’s cricket is due to have two three-team qualifying groups followed on Sunday by two semi-finals and a final. Seven other sports are on the agenda: track and field; swimming; soccer; basketball; volleyball; badminton; and table tennis.
 
The opening ceremony is scheduled for 9 am at the York University Track and Field Stadium.
