Toronto cricket festival (Inside Toronto)

Come out to the cricket festival next month at Centennial Park. Toronto City Cricket Club expects to host as many as 700 guests and participating players on Saturday, Sept. 10 at noon at the Renforth Drive-Eglinton Avenue West park.
The club celebrates its 26th anniversary this year. It is the festival’s 10th anniversary. This year is also the 26th anniversary of the cricket festival between Toronto City Cricket Club and St. George’s Society of Toronto Cup competitions. Club members hail from many cricket-playing nations, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, England, Australia, the Islands and South America. They play from May through September. Approximately six-million Canadians avidly follow the game, the club reports. To access the Centennial Park cricket grounds, head west on Eglinton past Renforth. Soccer City Complex is on the south side. Turn into the complex. The road leads to the Centennial cricket pitches.
