[May 15, 2013- Toronto] Early morning thunder, lightning and rain resulted in Wednesday’s CIMA Mayor’s Toronto Girls High School cricket matches being called off at G. Ross Lord Park. The games will be re-scheduled. Boys High Schools cricket in for one Toronto East group is scheduled for this coming Friday (May 17) at Sunnybrook Park.

It was a very English-type of cricket scene when I arrived at the ground on Wednesday afternoon with the sun shining, green grass and no cricket. Although the temperature was much higher that on at least one recent cold and sunny day. Hopes of seeing the latter part of the closing round-robin games and the final were dashed….. for today. (EN)
