ICC Americas U19’s in the 2013 West Indies Regional Under-19 Tournament

An ICC Americas team (including 8 Canadians) is playing in the 2013 West Indies Under-19 50 over tournament which begins today (August 10) in St. Kitts. There are seven rounds of round-robin play to decide this event with three games per day on different grounds within St Kitts. As there are seven participating teams, one team sits out each round.
Update: Today’s ICC Americas v Guyana match in the WICB Under-19 50 over tournament is no longer the live streaming match, but scoring updates are available through the WICB website. The Windward Islands v Jamaica game has blown in as today’s live streaming game. Scoring updates for the Barbados v Trinidad & Tobago game are also being provided.
ICC Americas opens today against Guyana at the EGSC Molineaux ground. A recent media release from the West Indies Cricket Board advised the original schedule of matches remains unchanged, but some games are now assigned to different grounds that had been advised originally. ICC Americas game against Guyana was originally scheduled for Verchilds, but those venturing to Verchilds today are now due to see the Windward Islands against Jamaica.

The ICC Americas squad, as named on July 23, included eight Canadians, four Bermudians and two USA players. Squad: Armaan Kapoor, Muhammad Abrash Khan, Trevor Manoosingh, Stephan Rajasinghham, Muhammad Farhan Malik, Sudeepta Aurka, Talha Shaik, and Stephan Joseph (all Canada U19); Tre Manders, Delary Rawlins, Kamau Leverock and Christian Burgess (all Bermuda U19); and Steven Taylor and Shakeel Ahmad (USA U19). Andy Pick (ICC Americas Performance Officer) is the coach and Alicia Brewster is the physio.

Jamaica wins WICB Under-19 Regional 3 Day Championship
Jamaica captured the West Indies Cricket Board Regional Under 19 3 Day title in a competition concluded on Wednesday (August 7). Jamaica topped the standings with 47.9 points, ending well clear of Trinidad and Tobago (33.4 pts), Guyana (30.4 points), Windward Islands (27 points), Barbados (26.5 points) and Leeward Islands (17.6). This is the ninth 3 day Under 19 title captured by Jamaica.
Jamaica registered three outright wins against Windwards, Leewards and Barbados. T & T and Guyana each registered two outright victories. T&T did so against Guyana and the Leeward Islands. Guyana took full points against the Windward Islands and the Leeward Islands.
