Scarborough cricket event

The Scarborough Mirror reports:
Cricket wasn’t part of the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games, but young cricket fans in Scarborough can celebrate the sport anyway on Monday, Aug. 24. The city is staging a “Pan Am inspired co-ed cricket event for youth” and offering free barbecue at Ashtonbee Reservoir Park, which has three cricket pitches. Participants will get free TTC tickets and Pan Am T-shirts, while they last. Registration starts at 2:30 p.m. and the event, running until 7:30 p.m., includes pick-up games, youth cricket league games and a session for youth and families on how to play cricket. The park is at 21 Ashtonbee Rd. and is closest to a TTC stop 1900 Eglinton Ave. E.
