NSCA’s Halifax Cricket League season traditionally starts with the Deonarine Cup featuring all T20 league teams in a round robin, previously played over 2 weekends. After the passing of Bhan Deonarine in 2016, it was decided to hold the competition on a single weekend. This Saturday & Sunday all four league teams will play a round robin with table toppers declared as winners. The Deonarine Cup sets the tone for the season and is also a selection tournament for provincial team so players do take this event very seriously. Bhan’s family is invited as chief guests along with press/media.

Nova Scotia Cricket Association is excited to partner with Scotiabank which aims to help communities become better off. By giving generously to important community projects and recognizing those who volunteer their time and energy to local causes, the Bank strives to make a positive difference wherever it does business.
Sunday June 11th from 1-3pm during the Deonarine Cup NCSA will be holding a series of fund raisers/activities/raffles in collaboration with employees of Scotiabank Jay Vyas and Muneeb Ahmedani. Scotiabank employees who want to volunteer at the event have an option to collaborate with NSCA and help us with fund raising activities. Scotiabank match up to $5,000 on what is collected on the day. It is a community event where families come in and participate in all day activities.
