The Canadian Under 19 squad continued to steamroll the opposition in the ICC Americas qualifier. Today’s opponents were the Caymans, and they managed just 42 in 28.5 overs. Manny Aulakh demolished the Caymans batting, taking 6 for 14, with Sidhu taking 4 for 6. The Caymans managed only 24 runs off the bat, extras contributing the rest. Canada didn’t lose a wicket, and needed only 7.2 overs to register the win. The USA also had a 10 wicket win, so tomorrow’s match pits the two top teams against each other for the tournament championship. Both however have qualified to advance to the ICC U-19 World Cup Global Qualifier, expected to be held in Ireland this summer. There they will face Ireland, Scotland, Kenya, Namibia, Afghanistan, Nepal, Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu.
