Press event announced by Cricket Canada

Kat Rose Inc. is hosting a press conference on Thursday, February 9th at 11 a.m. at Rogers Centre to officially announce the details of the Cricket All-Star T20 match. This match will be taking place on
May 12, 2012 at Rogers Centre. This exhibition match will feature international top-tier cricketers, and will also include a cultural and entertainment show that will feature a world-class artist.

India’s IPL may have been the catalyst, but cricket is now the fastest growing sport in the world. The T20 format has revolutionised the way people see the game. Now is the time for Canada to take its place in
the cricket entertainment calendar. Cricket Canada, with approval from International Cricket Council (ICC) have sanctioned the event and are looking forward to making this event a memorable one.
In its inaugural year, a single T20 match will be between an Asian XI squad and International XI squad, and players from Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, West Indies, Zimbabwe and South Africa will participate. The players will compete for the winner’s trophy – as well as the chance to return the next year to defend it. The combination of new and seasoned competitors will guarantee a competitive and fierce game for the fans.
Mr. Herb Choga, President of Kat Rose Inc. and Mr. Ranjit Saini, President of Cricket Canada will address the media. In addition, Alistair Campbell, Chairman of Zimbabwe’s Cricket Committee, Neil Manthorp, a cricket commentator and journalist, and Mr. Ingleton Liburd, Cricket Operations Officer, Cricket Canada, are eager to add to this initiative
