International cricket in Pakistan has been in limbo since the terrorist attack on the Sri Lanka team three years ago. The Pakistan Cricket Board had invited Bangladesh to tour in late April, but this was postponed after authorities in Bangladesh were concerned about security. According to the Tribune, the PCB have now invited Afghanistan and Canada for a tri-series, reviving international cricket in Pakistan (no schedule was announced). Cricket Canada now have a difficult decision ahead of them, balancing the opportunity to expose the national team to a high level of international cricket, against the security concerns that have kept other cricketing nations from touring for the last three years.
