The Region of Peel Senior Schools indoor cricket championships concluded in the course of the last two weeks. Stephen Lewis won the Senior Boys Senior section (Tier I), Father Goetz won the Girls event and North Park won the Junior Boys section. Rick Hansen won the Tier II Senior Boys playoff, involving the third-placed schools from the four senior boys groups. The Senior Boys Tier I playoffs, by contrast, involved the top two schools from each of the four groups.

Stephen Lewis made 59 for 3 wickets (8 overs) in the Senior Boys final (May 15th) then bowled out Brampton Centennial for 42 runs in 5.4 overs. The loss of six wickets being “all out” in this indoor cricket tournament. In the Girls Final (May 9th), Father Goetz plundered 68 runs for the loss of two wickets in six overs. This proved too stiff a target on the day for TL Kennedy, bowled out for 39 runs in 4.2 overs. North Park scored 50 for two wickets in six overs ,then dismissed Sandalwood for 32 in 4.5 overs to win the junior boys section final (May 15th).

The Senior Boys Tier II final (May 17th) saw Bramalea bowled out for 47 runs in eight overs. Rick Hansen responded with a winning 48 for one wicket with two balls to spare.
