In 2009, Ram Meyyappan was the main organizer behind the University of Victoria Cricket Club.
“I grew up in India, and I always liked watching and playing cricket,” said Meyyappan.
Now, three years later, the UVic Cricket Club is staging the first Western Canadian Intercollegiate cricket tournament on Sunday and Monday.
Joining UVic are the University of Calgary, Fraser Valley and Kwantlen.
