Halton Warriors and Cambridge to decide Hamilton DCL Premier Championship

The Hamilton District Cricket League Premier Division championship is scheduled for this coming Sunday, October 7th, at Central Park, Burlington, Ontario. Halton Warriors, who headed Conference 2 in the regular season, take on Cambridge CC, who finished second in regular season Conference 1 standings. The game is scheduled for an 11 am start.
Halton Warriors won ten and lost three games in regular season action in a five team Conference that included Mississauga Ramblers (W 8, L 4, rain-out 1), Crescent (W 4, L8, RO 1), Oakville (W 4, L9) and Force One (W 3, L10).
St Catharines headed Conference 1 with 11 wins and 2 losses. Cambridge placed second with 8 wins and 5 losses, ahead of Burlington United (W8 L 5) on net run rate over the season. Hamilton had 7 wins and 6 losses while Stoney Creek propped up this conference with 1 win and 12 defeats.
The Division 2 final is due on Saturday (Oct 6th) between Oakville and St Catharines at Churchill Park, Hamilton. This game also has a scheduled 11 am start. Monday is the backup day for these finals.
St Catharines beat Hamilton in the final of this year’s HDCL Ed Burn T20 competition.
