Toronto District School Board Outdoor Season Opens in the East

The school cricket season in Toronto’s latest dimension saw the Toronto District School Board’s outdoor cricket season open in the eastern part of the city on Monday May 13, 2013. The pressures of the weather and school exams mean quite a lot of cricket must be jammed into a short period of time.
The Boys Varsity East Region has two divisions, one with four schools and the other with five schools. Division One has Sir Wilfrid Laurier CI, West Hill CI, Wexford CI and Woburn CI, who tend to do well in this event. Division Two has Agincourt CI, Albert Campbell CI, Lester B. Pearson, SATEC at W.A. Porter CI and Stephen Leacock CI.
East Division round-robin matches were scheduled for today (Monday), followed by games on Tuesday (May 14), Wednesday (May 15), Thursday (May 16) and next Tuesday (May 21). Quarter-finals then follow on Thursday May 23. The semi-finals are set for L’Amoureaux Park on Monday May 27 and the East Division Final is scheduled for L’Amoureaux Park on Thursday May 30.
The East Division round-robin and quarter-final matches are being played at the Ellesmere Reservoir ground and at L’Amoreaux Park.
