Cricket fan Awais Sohrab of Ontario, Canada, winner of MoneyGram’s (NASDAQ: MGI) “Ultimate Cricket Fan” blogger contest, arrived in the United Kingdom today for his all-expense-paid trip to the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Champions Trophy semi-finals and finals. The matches are being held June 19-23.
“I’m so thankful for the opportunity to be here for the Champions Trophy tournament, but also to visit the United Kingdom and witness this country’s rich cricket history,” said Sohrab, a student pursuing a criminal justice degree at Humber College in Toronto. “I’m incredibly excited to serve as MoneyGram’s cricket ambassador and connect with the other fans who follow this amazing sport.”
