Thomians win 2013 Battle of the Blues

The Thomians, aka St Thomas’s College Old Boys, won the 2013 Battle of the Blues in both T20 and 40 over per side matches against Royal College on Canada Day, July 1st. It was the 25th anniversary of the Royal Thomian annual match being played in the Toronto area. The game took place on the north-central pitch at Maple Leaf Cricket Club as part of the Canada Day Sri Lankan festival.
In the morning, the Stallions game was played under the T20 format. St Thomas’s Old Boys hit 154 for four then restricted Royal College Old Boys to 131 for five. So the Thomians won by 23 runs.
Rohan Jayasekera top-scored with 53 as Royal College reached 145 for seven in 40 overs in the Mustangs game. But this total was overhauled after 28 overs as the Thomians hit 149 for five. John Lewis lead the charge with 76.
